May's a-coming

It's now officially 39 days to my big day.. still have some loose ends to tie up.. it's amazing see the fast flow of money go out towards our wedding, & to think we're doing our darn best to go small scale.. LOLx.. Say, for example when it came for us to choose our photos for our wedding album - the package deal was for 22 poses.. what really happened? We came out after almost 3 hrs of selection & ended up with 46 poses, hah.. 24 more than what we were supposed to stick too. Our PG didn't help either, having taken 225 photos for us. It was just insane.. there were some pics tt I instantly wanted to throw out, actually most.. hahah.. but we still ended up with 24 extra =p tt meant a top-up of $1,500 =~( but our co-ordintor was nice to let us have all our 225 shots back on soft copy with tt additional amount.

Now because the date is approaching, more money's flowing out - to the caterer's, to the videographer & photographer, furniture, church usuage, flowers & other essentials =P & to add to tt, we've finally got our own home with the BTO, so tt saw us putting down a 2k deposit. I've kept track of the expenses for our wedding & am scared to look at it when the wedding's over.. hahah..

Wedding stuff aside, the rise & influx of the HFMD cases here is driving me nuts... because I teach mostly young children from age 5 & under, I've a huge responsibility to check every child of mine. I've stared down so many throats, looked at so many tongues, hands & feet I'm seriously sick of it.. blah.. not to mention, the times I've had to santise my hands after each check.. after work on Sundays, I've one of the world's cleaniest hands no doubt.. LOLx.. all these sanitising is also making my fingers really dry & causing my skin to peel.. urgh! What's even worse is the symptoms for HFMD is like any other symptoms of children's illness - sore throat, runny nose & fever, in addition to rashes.. doesn't give us much of a leeway in preventing HMFD really, if u ask me. Even better still, one can be a carrier of the HMFD & be completely fine with no symptoms at all until the blisters/ulcers appear a wk later.. so how is tt gonna help really?

I can't wait for the HFMD to blow over.. funny thing abt it is tt it's a common sickness with children but I've not heard of it until I started teaching.. especially now with the strain tt's infecting the children being a more dangerous strain, it's constantly on the top of news bulletins. Once it blows over, I'll be really happy & breathing a huge sign of relief - yay! No more mouths, tongues, hands & feet to look at!!
