I've been having a dilemma for some time now & finally today I dragged my feet & body to the place where I hope can solve my problem as it's my last, FINAL choice.. LOL.. Since my trip to Krabi last September, my tan lines have still remained (yes, it's been tt long).. all this was much to my surprise seeing tt it was nv easy for me to tan here in SG, it either took many many hours or the use of deep tanning oil.. Still to no effect.. once sat in the sun for almost 8 hrs & applied almsot a whole bottle of deep tanning oil, only turned red & a bit tanned, which lasted 2 wks flat. Blah... then over in Krabi, just 5 hrs of kayaking in the mangroves has left me marked for so long.. LOL.. oh, the irony of it all... Krabi sun loves me & so to get a long-staying tan, I need to be in Krabi.
See, I'm always into being tanned & coloured.. I've loved being tanned to bits & couldn't care abt having it disappeared.. I'm nv ever known to want to remove my tan lines... However, this time around, the table has turned on me. My wedding photo-shoot is in 2 wks time & my 'X-Men' symbol is still clearly across my back.. haha.. not gd at all wearing a wedding gown tt's for sure.. bleah.. When my wedding co-ordinator saw the tan lines, she was like "Urgh, what did you do? You better not go into the sun anymore!!" HAHAHA... Of course, the long-staying tan was a result of my fault 'cos I was too smart for myself, I thought tt since I couldn't really tan easily nor even stayed tanned for long, I've no use for sunblock. Wrong choice, apparently.. heh heh... I've nv used a whitening cream, nor a cactus brush but now I have.. unfortunately, the tan lines' still there. Daily exfoliating & body scrub have also failed & upon seeking expert advice, I was told tt I couldn't use a foundation 'cos I would sweat & it'll stain the gowns. My only other option tt I've not tried was... dum dum dah - artifical tanning!
& I was like "NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! NOT ARTIFICAL TANNING!!!" I don't buy into these stuff full-stop.. u want a tan, go the real, natural way.. but woe is me.. I had to bite my lips, drag my feet & body & brainwash myself today into visiting a tanning salon. Since I couldn't tan easily in Sg & I can't possibly stop work to go tanning in Krabi (in my dreams, maybe), I had to turn to my last option *sniff* The GM was nice, patience & warm & didn't mind when I told him I didn't buy into artifical tanning.. haha.. he offered me a trail before I signed for a package session. In the rm, I was like out of my body, watching myself do the prep steps, plonk myself onto the tanning bed & wait til the lights went off. The only thought tt went thru my head was "Can u imagine if I actually tanned easier the artifical way and end up using it more often?" Oh, the crazy irony!!! So like I swore nv to dye or colour my hair (which I ended up doing to get over some issues), I had an artifical tanning & will be going back for more. No choice, have to even out my tan lines so I won't look weird in my wedding pics... Yelp!
